CleanSpec Lab Validation Overview
At CleanSpec Lab, every computer is inspected, tested, and validated according to its intended use. Not every system requires the same level of testing, but every system receives a documented validation process appropriate for its hardware and expected workload.
Level 1 – CleanSpec System Validation
Applies to: General desktop computers not eligible for OCCT certification.
Validation Includes
BIOS-level hardware diagnostics (where supported)
Processor
Memory
Storage
Systems whose BIOS does not include processor diagnostics (common on some older platforms) receive all available built-in hardware diagnostics.
Windows installation and activation verification
Driver installation and verification
Multiple shutdown/restart validation
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth verification (when equipped)
USB, audio, and display verification
Storage health verification using Hard Disk Sentinel
Storage Requirements
Every storage device is evaluated using Hard Disk Sentinel.
Drives exhibiting poor health or reliability indicators are removed from service. Storage health is disclosed in the listing when appropriate.
Level 2 – CleanSpec Bronze Core Certification
Applies to: Productivity systems and entry-level workstations.
Includes everything in CleanSpec System Validation plus:
OCCT CPU Stability
OCCT Memory Stability
Extended thermal monitoring
CPU package temperature verification
System stability under sustained processor and memory load
Bronze Core Certification validates the platform's ability to sustain demanding productivity workloads.
This certification does not include the OCCT 3D Adaptive graphics stress segment.
Level 3 – CleanSpec Bronze System Certification
Applies to: Professional workstations and systems intended for sustained graphics workloads.
Includes everything in Bronze Core Certification plus:
OCCT 3D Adaptive stress testing
Combined CPU, memory, and GPU workload validation
Full-system thermal validation
Graphics subsystem stability verification
Bronze System Certification represents CleanSpec Lab's highest currently published validation standard and confirms successful completion of the complete OCCT Bronze validation protocol.
Why Different Validation Levels?
A computer should be tested according to its intended purpose.
An office desktop, productivity workstation, and professional graphics workstation place very different demands on their hardware.
Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, CleanSpec Lab publishes the exact validation level each computer has successfully completed, allowing customers to understand precisely how their system was tested before it arrives.
